Last Saturday ay inamin ni Kim Chiu sa “E-Live” na nagkaroon na ng closure ang naging relasyon nila ni Gerald Anderson matapos ang kanilang pag-uusap sa America kamakailan. Napabalitang nagkaroon ng intimate dinner date ang dalawa sa U.S. nang mag-celebrate ng birthday si Kim doon.

Ayon naman kay Gerald ay open pa rin naman siya sa possibility na makasama si Kim sa kanyang mga projects. “Yung working status namin hindi closed book yun at love team namin, hindi pa sarado yun,” bungad ni Gerald.

Samantala, ang bagong napapabalita ngayon ay madalas daw na nakikitang magka-date sina Gerald at ang dating lady niya sa “Buhawi Jack” na si Jewel Mische. “Hindi kami nagkikita, nakaka-miss nga siya actually. Wala akong nililigawan ngayon. Kung sino man ang ligawan ko kawawa rin, kasi di ko mabigyan ng oras. Sa ngayon focus muna ako sa work,” paglilinaw pa ng binata.

Kaabang-abang naman daw ang bagong project na gagawin ni Gerald ngayon. “Ibang leading lady, ibang story. Yung role ko kakaiba so ang daming dapat abangan sa show na ito,” pagtatapos pa ng aktor.

Kim Chiu goes skydiving with Maja Salvador and Angelica Panganiban in the US

One of the reasons why Kim Chiu’s feeling more inspired nowadays is because she went skydiving with Maja Salvador and Angelica Panganiban during their recent trip to the US. Aside from conquering her fear of heights, she said that such exhilarating experience helped her release her heartaches and hang-ups in life as well. “Nag-skydiving kami sa Sta. Barbara. Wala, masaya lang ako kasi nagawa ko siya. Ang sarap ng feeling. Naisigaw ko na ang dapat isigaw sa 80,000 feet na yun! Sabi nga ni Mr. M (Johnny Manahan, Star Magic Head), ‘Mabuti hindi ka nagpaalam sa akin, kundi hindi kita papayagan.’ Kasi may show pa kami. Siyempre hindi mo naman alam kung ano pwede mangyari ‘di ba,” she related during her recent birthday press con.

The trio also got the chance to meet Hollywood star Ben Stiller and acted like fans by having their pictures taken with him. “Nakita ko si Ben Stiller dun. Nagpa-picture ako with him. Gwapo siya! Nagpaka-fan kami nila Maja and Angelica. Hindi naman namin sinabi na artista kami dito sa Pilipinas. Nagpakilala kami as tourists. Okay naman siya. Binaba naman niya window niya tapos yun, picture picture lang.”

Incidentally, they were in Los Angeles at that time for Kim’s magazine pictorial with 90210 star Matt Lanter, who plays the role of the bad boy Liam Court in the said American series. When asked if the dashing actor got attracted to her during their shoot, Kim was quick to say that Matt already had a girlfriend. “Hindi siya nagka-crush sa akin. Nandun girlfriend niya, nakabantay (laughs). Masaya naman, mabait siya, parang close na kami kahit nun lang kami nagkatrabaho. Ang concept nung pictorial Filipina actress meets Hollywood star Hollywood kaya may picture kami sa Hollywood sign,” she added.

At the end of the interview, Kim also clarified that there’s no reason for people to think that Maja and Angelica are her new best friends just she spent her U.S. vacation with them rather than the other Chiurigogobaschu girls. “Wala namang best friends. Sila lang yung nandun na kasama ko habang nasa US at nagkataon namang magkakasundo kami. Masaya sila kasama, ang kengkoy nila. Kapag namamasyal kami tawa lang kami ng tawa. Tapos lagi kaming nakabonggang outfit kaya enjoy yung girl bonding namin.”

Mariel Rodriguez admits she considered converting to Islam

Mariel Rodriguez said plans of a church wedding to Robin Padilla are currently on hold. The two first tied the knot last August in India under a Muslim rite while shooting the film Tum: My Pledge of Love. But when they announced that they were also planning on getting married in a Catholic church, some heads of the clergy opposed it because under Robin’s religion, which is Islam, a man can have more than one wife, and polygamy is not allowed in the Catholic religion.

“Medyo nalungkot ako nung nalaman kong ganun,” shared Mariel. “Kasi gusto ko yun, faith ko ‘yun, paniniwala ‘ko yun. Tapos biglang ipinagkaila nila sa akin.” The TV host/actress added that her husband knows how important a church wedding is to a girl like her. “Si Robin, kung puwede lang talaga, ibibigay niya lahat ng gusto ko, pati na ‘yun. Kaya lang, paano niya ibibigay, ‘di ba? Siyempre, may mga batas na dapat sundin. So, hold muna.”

She further shared that after hearing about the stand of the Catholic Church, she began reflecting how sadly, most of the time, religion gets in the way of two people to be together and be happy. “Gusto kasi ng Catholic church na magpa-convert muna si Robin, na pilitin ko siya. Meron pang something, like, ‘pag nagkaroon ng anak, dapat maging Catholic din. Para tuloy dun ko na-appreciate lalo yung Islam. Kasi sa Islam, walang pilitan. Tsaka sila, bine-bless nila ako. Hindi kailangan mag-convert ako ng Islam.

“I feel that religion should not be a reason for people not to be together. Tayo, ginawa natin yung religion. Pero ginawa tayo ng Diyos para magmahalan, ‘di ba? Hindi ko na lang iniisip 'yang church wedding na 'yan para hindi na ako maapektuhan ng issue na 'yan.”

In her desire to get married in the Philippines in the presence of their loved ones, Mariel confessed that she once considered converting to Islam, if it was the only solution. “Actually, honestly, yes, I did. Naisip ko 'yan. Pero parang ang pangit naman nung parang nagkaroon ka lang ng problema sa religion mo, tatalikuran mo at magbabago ka ng relihiyon.”

She said she didn’t tell Robin that converting to Islam crossed her mind because ever since they fell in love with one another, the action star never asked her to change religion. “Si Robin hindi alam na naisip ko ‘yun. Pero naisip ko talaga ‘yun. Magiging hypocrite ako ‘pag sinabi ko sa inyo na hindi ko naisip ‘yun.”

While feeling a bit sad about the whole matter, Mariel shared the incident how her grandparents extended their words of comfort. “Alam mo, ang sweet ng lolo ko, nag-text sa akin. Sabi niya, 'Don't worry about your Catholic wedding. What is important is you are happy. Out of nowhere, never akong nag-text sa kanila, bigla silang nag-text. Siguro na-feel nilang naapektuhan ako.”

Mariel added that her lola and lola now take care of Robin like their own grandchild. “Every time na pinapupunta ko sa BF [Homes] ‘yung sasakyan ko, pagbalik nun, may mga steak na. Kasi alam nila na favorite ni Robin yun. Eto namang si Robin, lagi niyang kinakain 'tong steak na pinadadala ng lolo ko!"

Zanjoe Marudo wins his first acting award from Gawad Tanglaw

Zanjoe Marudo recently took home an award from the 9th Gawad Tanglaw Awards for Best Single Performance by an Actor trophy for his Maalaala Mo Kaya episode entitled Kuliglig. In an interview after he received the trophy, Zanjoe shared his happiness about finally winning an acting award. “Nabigla nga ako. Hindi ko inexpect. Ito ang una kong acting award. Bilang aktor ito talaga ang kung baga kukumpleto sa iyo. Hindi ka naman nagtatrabaho para lang magpapansin at humingi ng award. Obligasyon mo ‘yun sa mga manonood. Para sa akin bonus na lang na napapansin ‘yung galing mo at nabibigyan ka ng award.”

The moreno model-turned-actor dedicated his first acting award to those people who inspired him to tirelessly improve on his craft. “Inspirasyon ko ‘yung mga taong naniniwala sa akin, mga patuloy na sumusuporta sa akin. Ginagawa ko naman itong trabaho ko nang mahusay dahil din sa mga taong nagmamahal sa akin. Siyempre para rin ito sa pamilya ko. Zanjoe’s 2011 is packed with grand projects which include two teleseryes—Precious Hearts Romances presents Hiyas and Alta—plus the Maalaala Mo Kaya movie with Bea Alonzo and Angel Locsin. He then thanked his home network ABS-CBN for always believing in his talent and professionalism. “Natutuwa ako na napakaraming blessings na dumadating sa akin. Nagpapasalamat ako na ang ABS-CBN patuloy ang pagtitiwala sa akin para gumawa ng magagandang proyekto.”

After last year’s much-publicized split from long time girlfriend Mariel Rodriguez, Zanjoe recently confessed that he is dating Bea. He said that Bea congratulated him upon learning that he won an award from Gawad Tanglaw. “Iba ang nagsabi sa kanya. Natuwa naman siya for me. Nag-congratulate naman siya sa akin.”

When asked, if aside from finally having an acting award and maintaining a successful showbiz career, Bea is among the reasons he is very much happy right now, Zanjoe gave a vague answer. “Basta masaya ako ngayon. Marami namang nagpapasaya sa akin.”

He was then further probed about Bea being his inspiration for work at this time. However, Zanjoe decided to evade giving particular details about his relationship with Bea. “Simula naman noong nag umpisa ako, habang tumatagal unti unti kang natututo dahil sa mga taong nakakatrabaho mo. Jason Francisco says he is happy with the changes in Melai Cantiveros

Ever since their Pinoy Big Brother Double Up stint, Jason Francisco and Melai Cantiveros’s relationship has been going strong, with the couple currently working together on the daily afternoon series Precious Hearts romances Presents: Mana Po. The 23-year-old actor from Mindoro admitted that he was nervous about headlining the show at first, but he gained more confidence after he did some preparations for it. “Siguro naman ready na kami kasi nag-workshop naman kami kaya medyo siguro nahinog din. Pinaghirapan naming ng todo para malabas namin yung gusto ng mga director,” he said.

Although he admitted that he misses working with her on other shows, Jason said they had to take a more serious approach when they started taping for PHR Presents: Mana Po. “Siyempre miss ko siya kasi dati ‘pag nasa Kokey or Banana Split set kami, nagkukulitan kami. Pero dito sa Mana Po, hindi na kami nagkukulitan kasi kailangan namin i-internalize sa sarili namin yung aming mga character kasi nawawala minsan. Kaya kami napapagalitan ng director tapos minsan nakakalimutan namin yung mga lines pagka-sobra na yung pagkukulitan namin. Minsan ‘di na lang kami nag-uusap para kami na yung iti-take, kailangan na namin mag-concentrate dun sa character namin kasi napakalayo nila dun sa aming totoong sarili. Masyadong madrama dito eh. Mahirap din yung mga English English at mag-pronounce kaya nakakahiya ‘pag nagkakamali,” he said.

Ever since they left PBB, Jason said he has noticed a lot of positive changes in his girlfriend. “Ang natuwa akong pagbabago niya is yung marunong na siya mag-ayos. Kasi dati hindi talaga yan nag-aayos sa sarili niya. Kahit anong gawin ko. Ngayon, marunong na siya mag-ayos, mag-makeup at manamit. Masaya ako dun kasi yun yung klase ng pagbabago na gusto ko eh. ‘Di ba ‘pag may girlfriend ka, ayaw mo naman na hindi maayos itsura? Dati kasi magulo yan sa buhok eh. Yung buhok niya gusto ko lagi maayos,” he explained.

But Jason clarified that this doesn’t mean he wants Melai to totally change how she looks. “Yung kulot siya, gusto ko. Eh ngayon, iba na yung buhok niya. Kasi lagi ng tinutuwid. Okay lang na ganun kasi kumukulot pa rin naman yan. Mamaya-maya kulot na ulit yun ‘pag nabasa,” he added.

When it comes to character, Jason said he is proud of how Melai did not let their growing fame inflate her ego. “Sasabihin ko naman sa kanya yung ganun, kung nag-iiba na siya eh. At saka ako pa naman yung tao na mapag-obserba. Kahit walang ginagawa, kahit nakatingin lang, siyempre hangga’t puwede, sasabihan ko siya. Kaya ko naman siya nagustuhan kasi hindi siya nagbabago. Siguro mahiwalayan ko lang siya ‘pag may nakita akong bagay na hindi na talaga siya yung pagkakakilala ko. Kumbaga nawala na ako sa buhay niya,” he admitted.

After recently giving Melai a ring for their anniversary, Jason is hopeful that their relationship will remain steadfast despite the intrigues that come with being in showbiz. “Sana lang. Sana mas maging stronger pa kami kasi napakahirap ng ating kinatatayuan na lugar. Medyo masikip ito. Alam nila lahat kaya magulo. Pero sana hanggang ngayon magiging matibay pa rin kami. Kasi one year na kami sa showbiz,” he said.

Kim Chiu was surprised to be called Gerald Anderson’s first love

After their careers were launched via Pinoy Big Brother:Teen Edition in 2006, the Kim Ciu-Gerald Anderson love team had been going strong until late last year when they admitted that things were not as picture-perfect as it seems. Add to that fact that Gerald was suddenly being linked to Bea Alonzo which got tongues wagging that the two young stars were definitely going down separate paths. With Kim busy doing the teleserye Binondo Girl and numerous other projects lined up for the year, she says their friendship has settled into a comfortable level once again.

During the launch of Mark Nicdao’s Vantage Magazine last March 6 at the Fashion Walk at Greenbelt 5 in Makati City, the pretty chinita came to support the event which featured an intimate portrait of her and Gerald in the exhibit. “Matagal na yan, nung Metro Magazine shoot pa namin yan. Okay naman kami ni Gerald. Yung samahan nandun pa rin. Yung communication nandun pa rin. Masaya ako para sa kanya kasi andaming magagandang nangyayari sa kanya ngayon and nakaka-proud. Ka-loveteam ko siya dati and now iyun,” she comments.

The slim 20 –year-old also shares how overwhelming it felt to be part of the Vantage exhibit and silent auction. “Masaya ako dahil parang dati ako lang yung nakatingin-tingin sa mga pictures na ganyan pero ngayon nakikita ko na yung self ko na nasa malaking event na ‘to. Siyempre si Mark Nicdao, ang galing na photographer sobra. Nakaka-proud na maging part ng ganitong event, na makita yung picture ko kasama sa maraming mga mukha na nandun,” she adds.

When asked how she felt when Gerald admitted that she was his first love on a recent TV guesting, Kim looked visibly surprised at the very public revelation. “Ang taray naman ni Gerald, hindi ko napanuod yan ha. Teka totoo ba yan? (laughs). Hindi ko alam, ngayon ko lang narinig. Teka lang, naloka ako. Siyempre thank you kay Gerald dahil sinabi niya yun. Siyempre nakakatuwa isipin na ganun pa rin yun. Siyempre nakaka-flatter and nakakatuwa pakinggan na may ganun,” she admits.

For her part, Kim also admits that she also considers the Buhawi Jack star her first love. “Sa part ko, siyempre. Oo naman siya,” she says. Despite both them being single again, the pretty chinita says the thought of a possible reconciliation in the future has not entered her mind, although she is not closing her doors on it either. “Depende sa tao and depende sa panahon at sa pangyayari. Hindi natin alam kung ano pa yung mangyayari. Pero naniniwala ako sa true love. Yun, yun talaga,” she shares.

With regards to the issue of Simon Atkins courting her, Kim says she has yet to really get to know the De La Salle University cager to be able to know if he could be considered as a future boyfriend. “Hindi ko pa alam. Tingnan natin. Okay naman siya. Funny and may sense of humor. May sense siya kausap, ganyan. Hindi pa kami nakakapag-usap talaga, busy rin kasi ang schedules namin,” she admits. Gerald Anderson reveals what he finds attractive about Sarah Geronimo

Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo admitted in their interviews that they have grown more comfortable with each other while shooting for their highly anticipated movie Catch Me, I’m In Love which is coming up this March 23.

Gerald revealed that during their first shooting days, Sarah was uneasy with him, until she committed a blooper which helped them be more at ease with each another. The actor shared that in a scene where their faces needed to be really close, Sarah tried to suppress a laugh so she accidentally sprayed saliva on Gerald’s face. “Sabi ko nga buti na lang nangyari ‘yon kasi kumbaga ‘yun ang ice-breaker and ‘yun simula no’n mas naging magaan,” shared Gerald and then joked, “Siguro magandang way din ‘yon, gagawin ko rin ‘yun sa mga leading lady ko.” The scene that the actor was referring to was the one shown in the trailer when he caught Sarah from falling when he opened the car’s door.

Gerald also said that he really admires Sarah’s family, specifically Mommy Divine, who is always with the Pop Star Princess to attend to her needs while shooting. “Pinoy [trait] kumbaga, mas nakaka-attract ‘yung mas conservative na babae na mahal ‘yung pamilya.”

He denied that the over-protectiveness of Sarah’s parents has hindered him from getting close to the singer-actress. “Sa akin, like I said, mas na-attract ako sa mga ganung sitwasyon, conservative. Bata pa lang si Sarah ganun na, she’s very lucky to have parents like that.” Gerald continued that he believes that Sarah’s parents did a great job in raising her to be down-to-earth and caring and is glad that he is friends with Sarah. “Sa ngayon friends lang kami. Sobra ko siyang ina-admire talaga.” He described Sarah’s family as really loving and added that he is also friends with the singer’s parents.

Since Gerald is also a good friend of Rayver Cruz, some members of the press asked Gerald during his recent birthday press con if he and Sarah sometimes talk about the Rayver, who is Sarah’s ex-boyfriend. “Wala. Hindi namin pinag-uusapan ‘yan kumbaga gusto namin magaan ‘yung set,” he answered.

He also added that there is no reason for him to worry about being caught up in the middle of Sarah and Rayver’s issues. “Hindi naman. Hindi naman ako kasama sa sitwasyon, kung anuman ang nangyayari. Kaibigan ko si Rayver, leading lady ko si Sarah, but magkahiwalay ‘yon.”

Gerald Anderson admires Sarah Geronimo’s humility

Though they frequently run into each other backstage at ASAP every Sunday, Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo rarely had the chance to sit down together for a friendly chat. But thanks to the movie Catch Me… I’m in Love, the two finally had the time to get to know each other. Gerald described what he discovered he liked the most about Sarah over the course of shooting the film. “Nagkikita kami sa ASAP. Lahat ng concerts niya sold out. Alam naman natin lahat na superstar siya. Pero kapag magkasama kami sa set hindi mo mararamdaman ‘yun dahil sobra siyang down to earth. That’s good kasi focused siya sa trabaho.”

He added that despite the busy pace on the set of the film, everyone still manage to have a good time. “So far we’re enjoying sa shoot. Napakagaan ng feeling sa set. Always stress free. There’s lots of fun.”

Catch Me…I’m in Love, which will premiere on March 23, marks the first time pairing of the Action Drama Prince and the Pop Star Princess. After years of working exclusively with ka-love team Kim Chiu, Gerald said he finds it refreshing to have a new leading lady. “Panibagong challenge ito kasi first time namin na magkaka-work. Galing ako kay Kim, si Sarah naman kay John Lloyd (Cruz). Bago ito para sa amin ni Sarah this 2011.”

At first there were many solid Kim-Gerald fans who expressed disapproval over the actor’s partnership with Sarah. Now however that the teaser for Catch Me… I’m in Love is being shown on TV, many have gotten excited over the new pair. Gerald commented, “That’s a good sign. Sa lahat ng pagod namin sa shooting, we assure [you] na matutuwa ang mga tao sa ibibigay namin sa kanila. We’re very excited kasi this is the first time na magkaka-work kami ni Sarah, at sa movie pa.”

Even though they are with different partners for now, Gerald and Kim continue to be good friends. Gerald denied the rumor that during the recent ASAP Rocks show in Davao he and Kim snubbed each other. “Wala pong ganyan. Wala lang po kaming prod number na magkasama kami. Hindi po totoo ‘yan.”

So will Gerald be Sarah’s first onscreen kiss? The actor laughed, “Ha ha ha! Hindi pa namin tapos ‘yung pelikula so hindi pa namin alam. Ha ha ha!”

Jason Francisco describes his fashion style when he was in the province

Biglang nagbago ang takbo ng buhay ng Pinoy Big Brother Double Up finalist na si Jason Francisco nang siya ay mapasok sa bahay ni Kuya at tuluyan nang napasok sa mundo ng show business.

Isa na nga sa napansin niyang pagbabago ay ang kanyang fashion style.

"Kasi dati po madalas nakahubad lang ako. Tapos yung damit ko, nakasampay lang sa balikat ko," paglalarawan ni Jason.

"E, ngayon hindi ko na magawa yun, 'tsaka madalas po lagi akong nakasando lang. E, ngayon, hindi na puwede. Pero simple lang naman ako, jeans tapos T-shirt tapos sapatos, sneakers," nakangiting sabi ni Jason.

Bakit ba laging nakasampay lang ang damit niya sa balikat niya dati?

Natawa si Jason sa tanong ng PEP 'tsaka sumagot, "Kasi uso sa amin yun, e. Sa amin kasi sa probinsya, hindi ganito na mainit at mausok. Sa amin mahangin, kaya masarap lagi nakahubad!"

Ano ba ang gusto niya na suot ng kanyang kasintahan.

"Bagay sa kanya yung white lang na top tapos fit tapos naka jeans, tapos na naka-shoes na panlakad, yung pang-mall," ani Jason na nakangiti.

Dagdag pa niya, "Ang gusto ko pa sa kanya pag naka-semi-formal, anong tawag dun, yung dress na simple lang na labas yung legs. Kasi maganda naman yung legs niya."

Biro ng PEP sa kanya, ito ba ang isa sa mga dahilan kaya in-love siya sa dalaga?

Pinoy Big Brother will begin auditions for fourth season on March 4

Since 2005, ordinary citizens have taken up the challenge of living in a closely monitored house where their every move and conversation is recorded 24/7. They become known as the housemates who are must complete all of the tasks assigned by Big Brother.

This 2011, a new batch of housemates will be introduced by ABS-CBN through the fourth season of the reality show Pinoy Big Brother.

In its latest edition called PBB Double Up, Melai Cantiveros (the Inday Kenkay of Gensan) was able to receive 1,226,695 text votes (32.08 percent of total votes), allowing her to win the third edition of the reality show.

Since then, Melai has starred in several projects along with her real-life boyfriend Jason Francisco (also a product of PBB Double Up). More popularly known as Melason, their tandem have been featured in the spin-offs Melason in Love, Melason in the City and Melason: Promdi Heart. They have also topbilled teleseryes such as Precious Hearts Romances presents Impostor, Kokey@Ako and Precious Hearts Romances presents Mana Po .

Those who are 18 to 35 years old can audition for the new edition of ABS-CBN's reality show. On March 4, the PBB Season 4 auditions will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall from 8 am to 3 pm only. Aspiring housemates must bring a valid ID.

Aside from working on I Dare You and her upcoming Precious Hearts Romances series Mana Po, Melai Cantiveros is also part of ABS-CBN’s new noontime variety show Happy Yipee Yehey!

The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate admitted that she feels both lucky and overwhelmed to be given such opportunities this early in her career. “Excited ako kasi first time ko mapasama sa noontime show. Kinakabahan ako pero kakayanin ko kasi kasa-kasama ko rin yung ibang comedian. Magulo ako eh tapos magulo din si Bianca Manalo, si Kuya Jobert at Kuya Bentong. I’m sure na o-over kami dun. Manggugulo kami (laughs). Kami ang panggulo dun. Basta marami kaming gagawin dito. Kakayanin ko na maging enjoy sila sa panunuod sa aming variety show,” she shared during the Happy Yipee Yehey! pictorial last February 4 at a photo studio in Quezon City.

With all her new projects, Melai said she had to give up Banana Split because her schedule was becoming too full. “Umalis na ako sa Banana Split kasi kailangan ko din naman matulog, alangan naman mamatay na ako sa kakatrabaho kasi diri-diretso na (laughs),” she said.

The 22-year-old former teacher from Gensan admitted that she went through a rollercoaster of emotions after finding out the news. During her last taping day with Banana Split, Melai found it so hard to hold back tears. “Nalungkot nga ako, pero masaya naman dahil andito na ako sa noontime show. Family ko din yung Banana Split, nag-iyakan kami kahapon pero magkapitbahay lang naman yung studio namin so puwede naman ako dumaan dun. Nag-iyak iyak pa ako,” she added.

Now that she has more TV exposure, Melai said she is concentrating on improving her way of speaking, after being advised by ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio that she should enunciate her words and speak more slowly. “Ang skills na kailangan ko gawin is magdahan-dahan ako sa salita ko paramaintindihan naman ako ng mga tao. Nag-pra-practice na naman ako. Marami ng nag-a-advise na bagalan ko. Nag-practice nga ako ngayon. Sabi ni Ma’am Charo bagalan ko daw ang aking pagsasalita kasi kumbaga papunta na ako Malabon, kayo nasa Quezon City pa kayo (laughs) kaya babagalan ko na pagsasalita ko,” she admitted.

When it comes to hosting, Melai shared that she really looks up to the Happy Yipee Yahey! hosts when it comes to delivering spiels. “Kasi napaka-spontaneous talaga ni Ate Toni (Gonzaga). Ang galing niya sa ganun. Magaling din sila John (Estrada) at Randy (Santiago), nakakatawa sila. Napapanuod ko na sila before pa sa Magandang Tanghali Bayan. Melai Cantiveros treats Pokwang as her "mama" in showbiz

Magkahalong gulat at tuwa ang naramdaman ni Melai Cantiveros nang malaman niya na kasama siya sa mga host ng bagong noontime show ng ABS-CBN na Happy, Yipee, Yehey!

Nakatakdang ilunsad ang nasabing programa sa darating na Sabado, February 12, sa Yñares Sports Arena sa Pasig City.

Makakasama ni Melai sa show sila John Estrada, Randy Santiago, Mariel Rodriguez, at Toni Gonzaga.

Noong Biyernes, Februray 4, ay nagkaroon ang PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang entertainment press ng pagkakataon na makausap si Melai while on break sa pictorial na ginawa sa The Room studio sa Panay Avenue, Quezon City.

"Kinakabahan ako pero excited ako kasi parang hindi ito basta-basta na noontime show. Kinakabahan ako pero kakayanin ko kasi kasama ko naman sila Bianca [Manalo], tsaka si Kuya Jobert, tsaka si Kuya Bentong [ng Banana Split]—kami yung pang-gulo," sabi ni Melai.

A day before the actual pictorial lang pala nalaman ni Melai na kasama siya sa Happy, Yipee, Yehey! kaya wala pa siyang ideya kung ano ang magiging papel niya sa programa na siyang papalit sa Pilipinas Win na Win! na nagpaalam sa telebisyon noong December 31, 2010 matapos ang limang buwang pag-ere.

NO RIFT WITH POKWANG. Pinabulaanan ni Melai ang usap-usapan na may tampo sa kanya ang komedyanang si Pokwang dahil sa kanya ibinigay ang hosting slot ng show.

May mga nag-akala kasi na kasama si Pokwang sa bubuo sa bagong noontime show dahil na rin sa malawak nitong hosting experience pagdating sa mga noontime shows, katulad ng Wowowee at Pilipinas Win na Win!

"Hindi naman yun mag-isyu-isyu!" bulalas ni Melai.

Tinatanggap lang daw niya kung ano ang ibigay ng kanyang home network kaya wala namang dahilan para sumama ang loob sa kanya ni Pokwang.

"Si Ate Pookie [palayaw ni Pokwang sa showbiz], para ko na nga siyang mama dito sa showbiz," dagdag ng dating Pinoy Big Brother Big Winner.

Si Melai mismo ang personal na nagsabi kay Pokwang na kasama siya sa nilulutong noontime show ng Kapamilya network noong gabi na nasa taping sila ng gag show na Banana Split.

Binibigyan na daw siya ng mga payo ni Pokwang kung paano maging mahusay na komedyante at public entertainer.

"Madami naman siyang advice. 'Huwag mong hayaan na may [dead] air, na parang di ka magsalita,'" kuwento ni Melai, na ang tinutukoy ay ang pagkakaroon ng mahabang tahimik sa gitna ng isang spiel.

Subalit may isang payo si Pokwang na hindi kinakalimutan ni Melai sa tuwing haharap siya sa kamera para magtrabaho.

"Basta happy ka lang," sabi daw ni Pokwang kay Melai. "I-love mo yung trabaho mo para di ka mamroblema sa everyday."

Pagkatapos ng isang malaking break nang siya ay mapasama bilang isa sa housemates sa Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Double Up noong 2009, tuluyan na ring napasok ni Tom Rodriguez ang show business at nabigyan ng projects sa pelikula at telebisyon.

Nakasama siya sa mga pelikulang Here Comes the Bride at Petrang Kabayo. Sa TV naman, napanood siya sa isang episode ng weekly drama anthology na Maalaala Mo Kaya at Precious Heart Romances: Love Me Again ng ABS-CBN, at My Driver Sweet Lover ng TV5.

Bukod sa pag-arte, pinasok na din ni Tom ang music scene bilang miyembro ng all-male singing group na VOIZboys. Kasama niya rito sina Guji Lorenzana, Jay-R Siaboc, at Nico Antonio.

Kaugnay nito,magkakaroon ng concert ang VOIZboys kasama ang '70s singing group na Rainmakers sa February 18 sa Music Museum.

Sa presscon ng concert na VOIZes in the RAIN kamakailan sa Bellore Restaurant sa Quezon City, nakapanayam ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Tom.

ACTING. Aniya, natutuwa siya sa mga role na kanyang nakukuha. "It's funny that my first two movies are comedy, kasi yung mga TV shows naman, puro drama. I want to try everything para naman may diversity sa craft ng pag-arte," saad ni Tom.

Paano ba niya nagagampanan ang iba't ibang genre ng pag-arte?

"Pag iisipin mo, lahat yun nangyayari naman talaga sa totoong buhay. Yung totoong buhay natin, may halong komedya, may halong musika, may halong drama din. So, lahat yun pinagdaanan na natin lahat, so we all have the tool needed for acting," sagot ng actor-singer.

Hindi naman kaila na isa sa mga asset ni Tom ay ang magandang hubog ng kanyang katawan. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit siya napasama sa listahan ng Cosmo Hunks noong nakaraang taon.

Marami-rami na rin siyang sexy roles na ginampanan.

"I've done a lot... Precious Hearts, there are a lot of sexy scenes. Here Comes the Bride, ang dami naming sexy scenes ni Angelica [Panganiban] dun so... Sa Petrang Kabayo nga, there's a scene where naliligo kami," kuwento ni Tom.

NOT YET READY FOR GAY ROLE. Sa puntong ito ng kanyang career, ano ang isang role na hindi pa niya kayang gampanan?

"Siguro, hindi afraid of doing, pero afraid of doing now. Kasi ayaw mong gawin yung isang role na hindi mo pa kaya kasi baka hindi mo magampanan nang tama.

"Acting, you wanna embody the role the best as you can, so may steps... You pick up tools along the way na makakaya mong magampanan na yung role."

Ang tinutukoy ni Tom na hindi pa niya kayang gampanan sa ngayon ay ang gay role.

Paliwanag niya, "I don't want to offend because those are people. I don't want to offend them by portraying a caricature.

"Nakikita mo naman yung portrayal nila Sir Gardo Versoza at John Lloyd [Cruz]. When they portray gay men, they portray them as people. Hindi yung caricature na kung ano lang yung preconception nila of a gay person.

"Hindi naman, kasi mga tao yun, may puso sila, they have ideas to say, they have feelings to share. Kailangan, as an actor, ma-embody mo yun.

"Ngayon, masasabi ko na hindi ko pa kaya. But hopefully, it is one of the roles that I would like to tackle in the future."

PAINTING & SINGING. Malayo ang buhay ni Tom dito sa Pilipinas sa Arizona, USA. kung saan nag-migrate ang kanyang buong pamilya noong siya ay 12 years old.

Isang graphic designer si Tom sa Arizona kung kaya't hindi na nakapagtataka na isa pa sa mga talento nito ay ang pagpinta.

"Yun ang hilig ko talaga, which is another art. Even now, kahit na nasa set ako, I paint pag wala akong eksena. I would sketch and draw anything when I'm at home. Hindi mawawala sa sistema ko 'yon. Gusto ko 'yong creative outlet niya, e," kuwento ni Tom.

Bilang bahagi ng isang singing group, sinabi ni Tom na hindi niya inakala na posible itong mangyari.

"I didn't do music before. I never... I would just sing in the bathroom. Ngayon, I'm having fun with it. I'm learning lahat-lahat.... It is another expression or outlet na katulad din ng acting. So, lahat yun—painting, music, acting—lahat sila art" saad niya.

NOT YET. Kung game si Tom sa painting, music at acting, hinay-hinay naman daw muna siya pagdating sa love life.

"Dati, may mga crush-crush lang. Pero ngayon wala akong girlfriend," sagot ni Tom sa PEP nang kumustahin ang aspetong ito ng kanyang buhay.

Paliwanag niya, "Ang hirap kasi sa stage ko ngayon. Alagaan nga lang sarili ko, ang hirap. Ibinubuhos ko ngayon lahat sa work. Tapos, dapat ibuhos mo din sa relationship."

Ayaw raw magkaroon ng girlfriend ni Tom para lang masabi na meron siya nito.

"Kasi for a relationship to work, you can't just enter it half-hearted na just to have it. Parang, 'Okay, may girlfriend ako just for the sake.' I'd rather be alone kung ganun lang mangyayari.

"Unfair sa tao, unfair din sa sarili mo to enter a relationship na hindi ka naman makaka-commit," sabi niya.

Malaking factor na busy siya ngayon sa trabaho at sa career. "Kasi ngayon talaga, after nito, tulog na lang. Mamaya, commitment to myself, mag-gym."

Nagbigay rin siya ng payo na tila yun ang kanyang sinusunod ngayon: "Love yourself first, love your work. Then, later on, when you are more stable..."

Ano ba ang mga katangiang gusto ni Tom sa isang babae?

"To be honest, when a girl is confident and she carries herself well. A girl who can stand on her own, yung sobrang match talaga yung personality naming dalawa.

"[Someone who I can] hang out with, yung walang problema. Someone I can joke with, laugh with, cry with. Someone [with whom] I could do everything. Pretty much a best friend and a lover all rolled into one," excited na paglalarawan ni Tom sa kanyang dream girl.

Bago natapos ang interview, sinabi si Tom na kahit hindi man siya interesado na magkaroon ng love life ngayon, bukas naman siya sa mga puwedeng mangyari.

"Well, it's hard cause I can't say... Like right now, ayaw ko ng relationship but the right girl might come along and just sweep you off your feet. You never know these things, e.

"Kung hindi, bakit pipilitin, di ba? Why would you push yourself doing something na hindi naman puwede? Hindi naman tama," pagwawakas niya.

Yen Santos is happy with her acting debut in ‘Mutya’

After her stint on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash of 2010, Yen Santos is all set for her acting debut in Primetime Bida’s newest fantaserye Mutya where she plays the role of tomboyish Melinda, the younger sister of characters played by comedians Ogie Diaz and Cacai Bautista. “May pagka-boyish ako dito. Tomboy pero eventually magiging girl din kasi magkakaroon ng love interest. Nakatira kami sa burol. Makukupkop namin si Mutya,” she told Push.com.ph during the press con last 27 at the ABS-CBN compound.

The 20 year-old, who was known as one of the prettiest faces in her batch in PBB, admitted that her Mutya character was a challenge because she is the total opposite in real life. “Nung una, naisip ko na, ‘Oh no tomboy ako dito!’ Kasi yung totoong ako is girl na girl. Pero nung nasa set na, sobrang nag-enjoy ako kasi challenge siya pero at the same time masaya talaga sa set. Inisip ko na kailangan kong maging astig so ginagawa kong magmukhang astig. Parang hindi naging mahirap sa akin kasi nagtutulungan kami dun,” she said.

Yen, who was dubbed the “Little Miss Sunshine ng Nueva Ecija” during her stint inside the PBB house, said she enjoyed the experience of being around more experienced actors. “Masaya and super funny kasi dahil dalawa yung kapatid ko dun, si Ate Cacai at Kuya Ogie, sobrang masaya palagi. Tawanan lang kami pag hinihintay namin yung take namin. Tapos tinutulungan nila ako para mas mapaganda yung performance ko,” she shared.

Even though it took some time for Yen to be given her first drama project, the pretty Star Magic talent says she is always grateful to have work. “Kasi para sa akin dumadating rin yun at hinihintay. So ngayon, first teleserye ko ito, sobrang happy and very thankful ako na kasali ako sa Mutya and super ganda ng show,” she said. Yen is also currently part of the weekday afternoon show ShoutOut and the upcoming teen-oriented show Good Vibes, which also includes some of her PBB batchmates.

Yen said that getting the chance to go into showbiz has always been her dream even before she entered PBB. “Gusto ko talaga. Kaya ako pumasok sa PBB dahil gusto ko makapasok sa industry na ito. Gusto ko talaga mag-artista. Para sa akin, magandang stepping stone ang PBB para makilala ako and yun yung unang-una kong audition talaga and luckily napasok ako,” she recalled. Yen said that even though she wants to be an all-around entertainer, she wants to hone her acting skills the most. “Ang gusto ko talaga is to act. Yun talaga. Alam ko kulang pa ako sa singing kaya gusto ko rin matuto pa sa pagkanta. Natututo na ako sa dance kasi nag-workshop kami para sa Good Vibes. Sa ShoutOut naman, nagagawa namin lahat yun: singing, dancing, and hosting,” she said.

Jayson Gainza doesn’t want to be stuck in comedy

Jayson Gainza is very thankful to ABS-CBN that after being part of last year’s teleserye Agua Bendita, he has been given the chance to be in a primetime drama again, this time around in the new fantaserye Mutya. Jayson, who is more known as a comedian primarily for his sketches in the gag show Banana Split, said teleseryes enables him to also explore his capability to become a little serious on screen.

“Sana tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang teleserye kasi gusto ko rin mag drama. Ayoko naman na matali na ako sa comedy. Pero dito sa Mutya may konting comedy pa rin kasi kami ni Tess Antonio ‘yung kasama ni Mutya, tapos kapitbahay pa namin si Ogie Diaz.”

Mutya, a fantaserye that follows the life of a child mermaid, is being compared to other numerous dramas that had plots about mermaids. Jayson said that in Mutya it will be the first time that viewers will get to see a very young mermaid, but he refused to say if in time the title character will grow up in the course of the series. He also talked about the important lesson that the teleserye will espouse to the audience. “Karamihan ng mga tao kapag nakakita ng isang kakaiba ang anyo e kinukutya na. Jason Francisco and Melai Cantiveros are about to mark their first year as a couple on February 8. The two met when they were housemates in Pinoy Big Brother Double Up and they became a couple shortly before they exited the house. But as much as he wants to make special plans to celebrate their anniversary, Jason said told Push.com.ph that he and Melai will be very busy in the weeks to come. “Mukhang may taping kami nun. Okay na rin kasi kami rin naman ang magkasama. Bibili na lang siguro kami ng pagkain na kakainin namin sa set. Kung may free day kami pagkatapos nun tsaka na lang kami siguro magpaplanong lumabas. Simple lang naman kasi kami mag-bonding.”

Jason also expressed his deep thanks to all the fans from across the country and different cities abroad for their continued love and support. “Bukod sa mga trabaho at iba pang biyayang natanggap ko simula nung PBB pa lang, ipinagpapasalamat ko talaga na nagkaroon kami ng Isay ng napakaraming fans na patuloy ang pagmamahal at suporta sa amin.”

Mindoro native Jason and General Santos City local Melai had already met each other’s families and relatives. “Gustong-gusto siya ng mga kapatid at pinsan ko. Ako naman welcome na welcome sa bahay nila sa GenSan,” he shared.

But in spite of this and the pressing queries from the public, 23-year-old Jason said he is still not thinking of marriage. He explained that he and Melai both still have responsibilities to their respective families. “So far away pa ‘yang kasal na ‘yan. Minsan napupunta diyan ang usapan namin pero talagang tinatawanan lang namin sa ngayon. Napakabata pa naman kasi namin. Marami pa kaming obligasyon sa mga pamilya namin. Lalo na ako na panganay. Kailangan ko pa pag-aralin ang mga kapatid ko. Madali na lang gawin ang kasal kapag naayos na talaga ang lahat.”

There’s no need for rush because for now, after being together for a year, Jason and Melai are still enjoying their relationship. He shared that just like how their fans had a great time watch him and Melai play around inside the PBB, they continue to be that couple with no dull moments together. “Ang nagustuhan ko talaga sa kanya ‘yung pagiging makulit niya, tapos minsan magtatampo. Kaya madalas kaming magkulitan lang. Hanggang ngayon ganun pa rin kami kaya nga masaya talaga ako kapag kasama siya. Baka kapag nawala na ‘yung kulitan baka mawala na tuluyan ang Melason.”

This is why even with the long working hours and other numerous showbiz commitments, Jason and Melai still find time to have a good laugh and relax. “Sa kulitan kami nabubuhayan kahit ang daming trabaho. Hindi kami nagsasawa kahit madalas kaming dalawa ang laging magkasama. Pakiramdam namin kami ang nakakaintindi sa pinagdadaanan ng isa’t isa. While he is shooting a Star Cinema movie with Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo, he is also returning to TV with Wansapanataym Presents Rod Santiago’s Buhawi Jack wherein his love interest is new Kapamilya star Jewel Mische. But Gerald immediately clarified that these two projects don’t mean that he will no longer be working with his original ka-love team Kim Chiu. The Action Drama Prince told reporters during the press conference of Buhawi Jack, “Hindi pa naman tapos ang Kimerald. Open pa rin akong gumawa ng mga projects with Kim in the future. Pero sa ngayon ito kasi ‘yung time namin na mag-grow pareho, na may iba kaming ka-partner. Para naman mas lalo naming maipakita ‘yung galing namin kahit hindi kami magkasama.” In fact, Gerald is set to make a special appearance in an episode of Your Song presents Kim.

With Buhawi Jack, Gerald takes on the challenge of proving to viewers that he can live up to his title “Action Drama Prince.” He confessed there is pressure for him to make the show successful especially that he no longer has Kim by his side. “Siyempre may pressure. In every project naman ang habol mo talaga is maging mataas ‘yung rating. Automatic na ‘yun tuwing bibigyan ka ng project. Kaya nga todo todo ang ibinibigay naming effort dito sa Buhawi Jack. Sadly up to now, many Kim-Gerald fans still don’t approve over their idols being paired with other stars. There are even those who sent death threats to Gerald and his new leading ladies. Though deeply bothered by these incidents, Gerald explained that he has no control over people’s actions. “Hindi ko naman hawak ‘yun. Kung kaya ko lang siyempre pipigilan ko. Pero ang magagawa ko na lang, pati sina Jewel at Sarah, gagawin na lang namin ‘yung trabaho namin na mahusay. We can only hope na susuportahan pa rin kami ng mga fans. ‘Yung mga nagpapadala ng death threats, feeling ko ibang tao sila, hindi talaga ‘yung mga fans namin. So hindi ko talaga mako-control.”

Instead of wasting time by worrying, Gerald is focused on work in Buhawi Jack and his new leading lady. He described Jewel as easy to be with on the set of their show. “Isang taping day pa lang kami nagkakasama ni Jewel. Although nagkasama na kami sa workshop at story conference. Gusto ko pa siya makilala nang husto. Dito sa Buhawi Jack marami pa naman kaming taping days na magkakasama so I’m sure marami pa kaming bonding time. Sobra siyang magaan kasama sa set. She’s very dedicated sa work.”

Many are also curious if there’s a possibility for romance to blossom between Gerald and Jewel. The young actor didn’t discard the possibility. “Hindi ko pa masasabi kasi masyado pang maaga. Basta masarap kasama si Jewel sa set. Masayahin siyang tao,” he explained.

In an interview after the rehearsal, Jason shared that the directors want to prepare him and Melai for numerous scenes in the teleserye wherein they have to act sweet and very much in love. He also revealed that there were plenty of times during the rehearsal that he and Melai would just burst to laughter.

Jason and Melai fell in love when they were housemates in Pinoy Big Brother Double Up. After the reality show, the two became an instant showbiz love team, attracting legions of fans not just in the Philippines but also abroad. Push.com.ph asked Jason if he is ready to do a sexy or love scene with Melai for Mana Po, given that PHR material is known for its daring theme. But Jason explained that he wants to maintain the wholesome image that his love team with Melai had built.

Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo finally started working on their movie last January 13. Although this is their first time to work with each other, Gerald claimed that they would be able to establish a good rapport through this project. “Hindi pa kami nagkasama mag-shoot kasi magkaibang eksena kinunan namin. Tom Rodriguez talks about what he misses most about the US

Ever since he arrived in the country by himself in order to join Pinoy Big Brother in 2009, Tom Rodriguez admits he finds it hard not to miss his family back in Arizona. “I miss my family so much, lalo na yung mga pamangkin ko. We keep in touch when we can pero pag nasa probinsya ako, walang signal,” he shared with Push.com.ph.

The Fil-Am hunk said that even though he wasn’t able to head home for the holidays to be with his loved ones, he didn’t totally miss out on the holiday festivities. “Minsan pag sinisuwerte, nung nagtrabaho ako for Christmas sa Legazpi, sakto my family were all together [sa States] tapos saktong may signal sa hotel and we Skyped. Napanuod ko yung mga pamangkin ko habang binubuksan nila yung mga gifts nila so sobrang sarap ng feeling,” he shared.

In the States, Tom said that he would often be mistaken for another race. “I would tell them I am Filipino, but I’d get mistaken for Mexican. In Hong Kong naman, they asked if I was Eurasian daw. But my mom is pure Filipina and my dad is white,” he clarified. Even though he grew up in a Filipino household, Tom admitted that he didn’t have that many Pinoy classmates. “Arizona is so small that there’s like few Filipino people there. Usually friends of my family. But most of my really close friends weren’t really Filipino,” he said.

Although he grew up speaking English and Waray at home, Tom says he has been working on improving his Tagalog by reading local comic books like Pugad Baboy. The aspiring actor also hopes to continue playing the sports that he used to love doing in the States. “American football was my sport in high school. I haven’t played football in a while. My position was a free safety and wide receiver. I haven’t played in so long I want to get back to it nga eh. I got my love for football because I grew up with it,” he shared.

The former PBB housemate is also a self-confessed homebody. “I sit at home and paint. Sobrang boring kong tao (laughs). Ang babaw ng kaligayahan ko, nasa bahay lang ako magdro-drawing lang ako, magpe-paint. Ngayon, I’ll make music. Yun lang,” he shared. One of his biggest passions is painting. “I liked doing it since I was really young. It started when I was in high school. I got the love for art from my sister. When I was in grade school lagi lang akong magdro-drawing tapos nung tumanda tanda na ako parang na-feel ko na ito talaga yung passion ko. Pinag-aralan ko na. I use anything from oils to acrylic, watercolor, charcoals, pencils, pero one of my favorites is digital art kasi kahit saan puwede kodalhin tsaka mabilis gawin kasi I can put my ideas down kagad. Kung anong nasa isip ko kaya kong ilagay ng mabilis. Especially sa trabaho namin sobrang busy, parang ang hirap naman siguro pag nasa set na magse-set up ka pa for painting ‘di ba? At least ito madali lang,” he explained.

Although he chose not to finish his art studies, Tom believes that practical applications count for more than a flashy diploma in the art world. “The thing with art naman is you don’t need a degree, you need a really good portfolio so yun yung gusto kong pagtuunan ng pansin. I-bi-build up ko yung portfolio ko ulit and maybe it can be more than a hobby again one of these days. I don’t want to give up on it,” he said.

Along with the rest of Voiz Boyz, Tom is preparing for their concert next month at Music Museum. “We’re doing different sounds pero for my solo, I want to do ‘Hello’ by Lionel Ritchie. I really like that song. I want to see kung papayagan nila ako to do it for my solo number,” he said.

Kim Chiu on Gerald Anderson: ‘Kapag nagkikita kami masaya lang’

Kim Chiu used to give Gerald Anderson the cold shoulder during the peak of his romantic involvement with Bea Alonzo, but the young actress happily shared that she and Gerald are back to being good friends since late last year. “Sobrang close naman kami. At hindi na rin namin iniisip kung anong nangyari, parang wala lang, may hangin lang. Basta masamang issue hindi na namin pinag-uusapan. Hindi namin ino-open up sa isa’t isa. Kapag nagkikita kami masaya lang,” she said during her contract signing with Star Cinema last January 13.

As a matter of fact, the two of them had a special dinner together before Kim flew to Korea during the Christmas break. Kim also clarified that there’s no truth to the rumors saying that she and Gerald actually spent the holidays together in Canada. “Hindi naman. Nasa Korea ako, si Ge nandito [sa Pilipinas nung Pasko]. And nag-dinner naman kami. Hindi nga lang Pasko [mismo], pero Christmas dinner yun.”

Both of them even thought of giving each other a travel bag for their respective vacation trips last month. “[Ang regalo kasi niya sa akin] LV (Louis Vuitton) na trolley bag kasi dapat pupunta akong Korea. Galing akong Cebu, so binigay niya sa driver ko, gamitin ko daw. Tapos yun nakita ko. Sabi ng driver ko bigay ni Gerald. Ginamit ko agad. Tinanggal ko gamit ko sa luggage ko tapos nilipat ko dun. [Ang regalo ko naman sa kanya] phone (Blackberry) tsaka backpack kasi nalaman ko na pupunta sila ng Baler, magbi-beach siya, so binigyan ko ng backpack.”

To further prove that they’re on good terms, Kim revealed that Gerald often checks out her new house to make sure that construction is going smoothly. “Oo, tinitignan niya pagkagaling niyang taping. Kapag umuuwi siya ng madaling araw, tinetext niya ako. Kasi malapit lang din dun yung bahay niya, dinadaanan lang din. So sinisilip niya, maganda naman daw. [Pero] wala siya dine-design dun, tinitignan lang niya.” When asked if she still plans to reserve a guest room for Gerald’s use in her house, she simply replied, “Nandun pa rin for all.”

So would she consider herself completely healed after all the heartaches Gerald gave her last year? “Yes healed! Ano ba ‘yan ate nagkasakit ba ako? Tuberculosis? Ha-ha-ha! Oo naman ate, dati pa masaya na ako.”

Jason Francisco defends Gerald Anderson from violent fans

The love team of Jason Francisco and Melai Cantiveros is said to have the most number of fans worldwide, next only to the legions of followers of another pair born out of Pinoy Big Brother, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson. But with the continuing issue about violent fans who have withdrawn their support from Gerald and who are sending death threats to the young actor and his loved ones, Jason can’t helped but be alarmed. In an interview with Push.com.ph during the look test for the new teleserye entitled Precious Hearts Romances presents Mana Po, Jason expressed his sympathies for Kim and Gerald.

Jason, a third placer in PBB’s Double Up season, revealed that he first tried to audition for the said reality show during the Teen Edition in 2006, the batch where Kim and Gerald belong. Jason shared that he considers Kim and Gerald as his showbiz idols, and he asked the fans to respect the private lives of the two. “Ang mga fans kasi minsan hindi sila makaintindi. Halos five years na rin ang pinagsamahan nina Kim at Gerald at ng mga fans nila. Pero kung ano pa man ang maging desisyon nila para sa personal na mga buhay nila, sa kanila na lang ‘yun. Ang trabaho lang talaga ng artista e pasayahin ang mga fans, kaibiganin. Pero may mga pribado pa rin silang mga buhay. Sana maintindihan ‘yun ng ilang mga fans.”

When he saw on the news that Kim and Gerald had both broken down during the press conference for the last year’s film Till My Heartaches End, he couldn’t help but sympathize for the two. “Napanood ko ‘yung balita kina Kim at Gerald na umiiyak sila. Talagang naapektuhan ako. Pakiramdam ko sa akin nangyayari ‘yun. Siyempre kapwa artista mo rin. Napaisip ako, ‘Ano ba ang ginawa namin para ganituhin ninyo kami?’ Sa haba ng pinagsamahan nila, imbis na intindihin na lang at suportahan ‘yung mga naging desisyon nila, naging kabaliktaran pa.”

Jason has advised Gerald to keep his cool. “Malas lang siguro ni Gerald kasi siya ‘yung lalaki. Alam mo naman sa ating mga Pilipino mas nakikisimpatya tayo sa babae kaya tuloy lalaki ang kadalasang dehado. Minsan nakaka-bonding ko rin ‘yan si Gerald. Napakabait, totoong tao. Nasabi ko nga one time sa kanya na relax lang at lilipas din naman ‘yan. Sana naman, nakikita ko naman na nagiging okay na sila pareho.”

Jason added that he believes that although stars and fans can be good friends, there still should be a limit most specifically when the issue is about personal life. “Dapat alam natin ang kanya-kanyang lugar. Ang mga fans pwede mo naman maging kaibigan. Pero pagdating sa pribadong buhay, dapat labas na ang fans dun. Wala na dapat nangingialam. Hindi naman ibig sabihin papabayaan na namin ang mga fans. Alam naming malaki pa rin ang utang na loob namin sa kanila. Give and take, pero dapat may limit pa rin lalo na kapag personal na buhay na ang usapan.”

If ever he finds himself in a dilemma wherein he had to choose between doing what he wants and pleasing the fans, Jason said it is always more important to side with the truth. “Kung mangyari sa akin ‘yun, sobrang mahirap naman na pipilitin mo ‘yung sarili mong gawin ang isang bagay na ayaw mo para lang ma-please mo ang mga fans. Lolokohin mo lang ang mga tao nun, lalo na ang sarili mo. Dapat sabihin mo na lang ‘yun totoo. Kalaunan naman siguro ay matatanggap din nila.”

Jason also noted the important role of leaders of fans clubs whenever a sensitive issue like this would arise. “Minsan kasi may mga tao rin siguro na gusto lang manggulo. Pwede namang maging maayos. Ang mga fans club alam ko may mga officers ‘yan. Sana ‘yung presidente, kausapin na lang ‘yung mga members para ipaintindi ang sitwasyon.”

While he’s working on the Precious Hearts Romances series Mana Po, Tom Rodriguez is also busy gearing up for the Voiz Boyz concert on February 18 at the Music Museum as well as being on the remake of the 1980 film Temptation Island. The Fil-Am actor said he has already talked to Dina Bonnevie (who was part of the original film) about it. “I worked with Ms. D on another network na kasi. I told her na kasali ako sa Temptation Island. Sabi niya sa akin kailangan galingan ko. She’s really nice,” he said in an exclusive interview with Push.com.ph.

Tom admitted that he has no problem getting into more daring roles, especially since Temptation Island is known for its sexy theme. “I’ve shown skin before in my role sa Precious Hearts Romance Presents: My Cheating Heart and Here comes The Bride. As long as it’s tasteful and hindi naman malaswa, why not,” he shared.

In his latest Precious Hearts Romance series Tom plays the role of Johnny Santos, the childhood friend of Brandy Dela Paz, played by Melai Cantiveros. “Sobrang in love yung role ko kay Brandy. As in sobra-sobra. Hindi siya napapansin kasi best friend lang yung tingin sa kanya. Andun yung longing pero hindi niya makuha-kuha. Nasa harapan na niya pero hindi niya pa rin makuha yung affection ni Brandy,” he said. Tom said he understands where his character is coming from because he’s been in a similar situation before while he was in the States. “I’ve felt like that but maybe not sobrang in love. I had a crush on someone, parang unrequited crush,” he added.

Tom told Push.com.ph that he is enjoying his current project because of the fact that he gets to hang out with his former Pinoy Big Brother housemates Melai and Jason Francisco. Because of their love triangle in the story, Tom said he can also understand why it’s not hard to fall for Melai in real life. “Sobra siyang maalagang tao, sobrang bait. She’s so caring. Even when we were inside the house up to now na nandito na siya, even after all the success, ganun pa rin siya, maalaga pa rin. Maasikaso siya and she’s really down to earth. Still really nice. Tsaka kung makita niyo yung cover nung magazine na andun siya, ang ganda niya dun. Sino ba naman hindi magkagusto? When it comes to beauty, Tom has always been vocal about his admiration for Angel Locsin and Maja Salvador. But now, the PBB hunk admitted he finds Imortal actress Maricar Reyes to be a standout beauty. “My current crush is Maricar Reyes. Talagang crush ko yun. I’ve had a crush on her before pa. She’s got an aura about her, she’s so regal. She has that aura about her, just so regal and elegant. Parang those 1950s actresses in the US like Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly, parang ganun yung aura niya,” he admitted. Newbie comedian Melai Cantiveros found herself in hot water after an episode of the gag show Banana Split where she burnt a photo of radio jock/TV host Mr. Fu. When Push.com.ph spoke with Melai’s boyfriend and Banana Split co-star Jason Francisco during the look test for their upcoming teleserye Precious Hearts Romances presents Mana Po, he immediately clarified what really happened. “Ang tanong lang dun, kung ano ‘yung mga bagay sa 2010 na gustong nang kalimutan at sunugin na. Hindi naman ibig sabihin nun ‘yung tao na ang gustong sunugin. Kami rin sa Banana Split sinunog ‘yung picture namin. Siguro ang nakarating lang kay Mr. Fu, iba na ‘yung kwento. Tingin ko naman matalinong tao ‘yan si Mr. Fu. Hindi naman siguro siya magsasalita ng kung ano kung hindi maling kwento ‘yung nakarating sa kanya.”

Jason shared that Melai is handling the controversy quite well despite the fact that she is being perceived as the bad guy because of what she did. He said she believes she didn’t do anything wrong. “Maraming nagi-interview sa kanya tungkol dun. Tingin ko naman hindi siya apektado. Ang pagkakakilala ko sa kanya e kapag alam niyang wala naman siyang ginagawang masama hindi naman siya nagaalala. Para sa kanya hindi na importanteng pagusapan pa kasi wala namang dapat pagawayan. Kapag pinahaba lang nang pinahaba ang usapan lalo lang maiiba ang kwento.”

After the simple incident turned into a burning controversy, Jason advised Melai to not talk too much about the issue so it can just easily go away. “Ang lagi kong sinasabi sa kanya e relax lang. Siguro mahal lang siya sobra ng mga tao kaya hilig siyang pagusapan. Mabuti pang manahimik na lang kaysa patulan pa niya ‘yung issue. Lalo lang hahaba. Matatapos din ‘yan kasi wala namang ginawang masama talaga.”

In a separate interview with Push.com.ph also during the look test for Mana Po, Melai offered an apology if ever Mr. Fu was offended by her actions. However, Jason explained why he believes his ka-love team has nothing to be sorry about. “Ewan ko lang kay Isay kung sa tingin niya kailangan talagang mag-sorry. Pero sa totoo lang, kung iisipin mo talaga wala naman dapat ipag-sorry. Na misinterpret lang ‘yung nangyari. Sana intindihin talaga ng kabilang panig na wala naman talagang ginawang masama. Hindi naman ‘big deal.’ Nabigyan lang talaga ng kulay.”

This issue comes amidst persistent claims that Melai, who got her big break as a comedian after winning in the reality show Pinoy Big Brother Double Up last year, is now acting like a prima donna because of her instant rise to fame. However, Jason doesn’t think such is true and as a boyfriend he will make sure it won’t happen. “Importante talaga ang pamilya at mga kaibigan na laging nagpapaalala. May mga tao kasi na dahil sa biglang sikat e nakakalimutan na ‘yung pinanggalingan nila. Dapat talaga laging nakaalalay ang mga mahal sa buhay. Melai Cantiveros will soon star in her own teleserye together with real-life boyfriend Jason Francisco in the next installment of Precious Hearts Romances entitled Mana Po. The Prinsesa ng Masa admitted that although she is nervous, she is ready to take on the challenge. “Sobrang happy kasi nag-trust ang ABS-CBN na bigyan kami ng show. Isa itong pagsubok sa amin, sobrang mabigat na hamon ito sa amin. At the same time sa aming dalawa [ni Jason] nag-iikot ang story,” she shared. Their fellow Pinoy Big Brother Double Up ex-housemate Tom Rodriguez will portray the third wheel in their team-up in the upcoming series.

When Push.com.ph asked Melai if she is ready for the responsibilities that go along with playing the lead in her own show, she replied, “Nakaya ko naman nung nag-star ako sa Maalaala Mo Kaya at Wansapanataym. Nakaya ko naman din pero hindi ko rin masabi dahil isang araw lang [ang mga] ‘yun, eh. Ngayon matagal ito, eh. Kinabahan ako, pero gagawin ko rin naman ang lahat kung anuman ang makakaya ko.” The teleserye will be romantic-comedy, of which Melai joked, “May drama, may comedy, may hahaha! May pressure, romance, may love story. Basta halo-halo. Sila na lang bahala maglunok (absorb).”

The Inday Kenkay ng GenSan is a mainstay of the daily gag show Banana Split and will also be one of the hosts an upcoming reality-based show, I Dare You, opposite Jericho Rosales and Iya Villania. She also revealed that an offer to make an indie film in the future is also possible.

Melai said that she is open to have other leading men besides Jason, but admitted that she is most comfortable working with her boyfriend. “Naka-try naman po ako ng ibang leading man gaya sa Inday Bote sa Wansapanataym kahit maiksi lang. Pero okay din lang kaming dalawa ni Jason dahil leading man ko naman din siya sa halos lahat ng projects.” She related that she just feels uncomfortable if she has a new leading man, and an intimate scene is required, such as that with Sam Milby in Impostor and they had to do a kissing scene by the seashore. “Naiilang kasi kapag maraming tao sa mga scene na ganon kasi iba ‘pag kayong dalawa (Melai and Jason) kahit maraming taong nanonood.”

She happily revealed that their relationship is now on its 11th month and despite their away-bati relationship, she is happy that they have grown more understanding of each other.

After formally signing with the Kapamilya network last month, Tom Rodriguez is looking forward to working on his first project for the year, Precious Hearts Romance presents: Mana Po, which also stars his former Pinoy Big Brother housemates Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco. The series is going to be launched late next month on ABS-CBN. “This is my first project for 2011. I just came back from a vacation. I worked on Christmas so after that I took time off to relax from December 30 to January 5. Now I’m back and ready to work,” he shared in an exclusive interview with Push.com.ph.

The Fil-am hunk admitted he was especially looking forward to working with familiar faces again. “I’m very excited for this project. It’s a romantic comedy. There’s some drama involved but there’s going to be some comedy aspects. I was very excited lalo na nung nalaman ko na si Melai at si Jason yung makakasama kasi magkakasama kami sa Bahay ni Kuya so andun yung pang mini-reunion feeling na may sarap factor para sa akin,” he admitted.

After working on projects with other networks, Tom said there was a comfort in coming back to his home network, especially when he gets to go inside the Pinoy Big Brother house again for rehearsals and other projects. “Ang weird nga eh na nakakapasok ulit ako dito sa bahay dahil nakikita ko na kung ano yung nangyayari sa likod. Sumilip ako sa likod. Sorry Kuya! (laughs). Pero may halong nostalgic feeling na lahat ng memories, ‘pag naalala ko, ‘pag sobrang tagal na, feeling ko lahat magaganda. Overall ‘pag iisipin ko, those were the good old days. Mas na-a-appreciate ko yung mga nangyari ‘pag tumagal na, so maganda pa rin, parang may marker. Para pagtingin ko kung anong iba sa buhay ko since last year, ayun yun. Ang sarap din isipin na ganun nga, heto kami na magkakasama ulit. The same people, but at the same time, we’ve been through a lot in one year,” he said.

Tom said that even though they are all celebs now, nothing has changed much since he last saw Melai and Jason. “Close pa rin kami. Kanina kulitan, tawanan, parang yung dati lang nung nasa loob lang kami ng bahay ni Kuya. Pareho pa rin naman sila. Of course iba na yung trabaho namin ngayon dahil showbiz. Pero kami ganun pa rin naman, wala akong napansin talagang bago,” he told Push.com.ph

As one of the busiest stars of ABS-CBN, Kim Chiu seldom has time for herself especially when she did the teleserye Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo and the movies Paano Na Kaya and Til My Heartaches End last year. On top of that, her reel and real-life relationship with Gerald Anderson suffered a huge blow after the latter got romantically linked to Bea Alonzo. As such, she decided to take a much-needed break by spending the previous holidays in Korea on her own. “Masaya naman. Pumunta ako sa snow sa Korea. Nag-ski, namasyal, nag-tour, nagpakasawa sa snow. First time, childhood dream ko yun, so ngayon natupad na,” said in an interview with Showbiz News Ngayon.

Aside from her wonderful vacation abroad, she and Gerald seem to be getting along really well again. Apparently, the two were seen getting cozy with each other backstage at ASAP before the Christmas break last year. It was a clear indication that they’ve remained good friends despite the trials they have encountered on and off screen. Whether or not they’d end up getting back together again remains to be seen though.

In the meantime, watch out for Kim’s exciting projects this 2011 including the teleserye Binondo Girl opposite Matteo Guidicelli and a movie with Piolo Pascual.

Devon Seron dreams of being a part of the teleserye 'Imortal'

Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash of 2010 Fourth Placer Devon Seron was very happy when she learned she was a mainstay in the daily teen variety show ShoutOut. She was very excited that as a showbiz newbie she gets to do the things she enjoys, which are singing and dancing. “Noon sa school nakakasali na ako sa mga singing and dancing presentations,” she shared with Push.com.ph in an interview during one of the rehearsals for ShoutOut.

Alongside ShoutOut, Devon is also continuing with her acting workshop under ABS-CBN. She said that she hopes she soon will also be given the chance to try out acting. “Ang hindi ko pa talaga nasusubukan is acting. Gusto kong matutunan kung paano mag-deliver ng tamang emotion. Sa ngayon nagwo-workshop pa rin ako. Tuloy pa rin ‘yun para any time na may opportunity to act e ready kami kahit papaano.”

The 16-year-old teen from Cebu talked about the unforgettable exercise she did for the acting workshop under director Rhayan Carlos. “Pinaiyak kami for one hour. Sabi ni Direk Rhayan, pumikit daw kami and isipin namin ‘yung mga past experiences namin. Ako inisip ko ‘yung family ko, ‘yung life namin sa Cebu. Malaking family kasi kami, kasama ko ‘yung lola ko. E miss ko na kasi sila lahat, kaya tuloy naiyak ako. Akala ko hindi ko magagawa kaya nagulat ako nung nakaiyak na ako.”

If ever she will be given the opportunity to finally act, Devon admitted that she dreams of having even just a small role in the hit primetime fantaserye Imortal because of two reasons. “Crush ko kasi si John Lloyd (Cruz)! Tsaka mahilig talaga ako sa mga fantaserye. ‘YungMarina lagi kong pinapanood noon. Gusto ko rin kasi ‘yungTwilight, e ‘di ba parang ganun ‘yung Imortal. Feeling ko macha-challenge ‘yung pag-arte ko dun sa Imortal. Magandang learning experience rin ‘yun para sa akin kasi gusto ko talagang i-pursue ‘yung acting.”

Devon is also willing to do some action scenes like what Imortal lead female star Angel Locsin would do. According to Devon, when she was younger she would tell her father about her ambition to join the military. “Bago ako nag PBB gusto ko talaga pumasok sa military, ha ha ha! Kinukwento ko sa tatay ko na gusto kong pumasok ng PMA. Ewan ko ba kung bakit gusto ko. Okay naman sa tatay ko, pero nanay ko ayaw. Pangit daw sa babae. Ngayon pinagiisipan ko kung architecture o engineering. Dati pa gusto ko rin i-try ‘yung course na ‘yun. Sana makayanan ko.”

Tom Rodriguez will no longer work for networks other than ABS-CBN starting next year

Masayang Christmas gift para kay Tom Rodriguez ang pagpirma niya ng two-year exclusive contract sa ABS-CBN.

Present sa contract signing last Wednesday night, December 8, ang ABS-CBN executives na sina Cory Vidanes (channel head) at Linggit Tan (business unit head).

Kasama rin ang Star Magic bosses na sina Johnny Manahan at Mariole Alberto, at ang PR consultant na si Pat-P Daza.

Ginanap ang contract signing sa 9501 restaurant sa loob ng ABS-CBN compound.

Hindi nakadalo ang co-manager ni Tom na si Boy Abunda, pero sinigurado ng TV host-talent manager na makarating ang former Pinoy Big Brother housemate.

Galing pa kasi sa Binangonan, Rizal si Tom para sa taping ng TV5 drama series na My Driver Sweet Lover.

EXCLUSIVE KAPAMILYA. "Pagkatapos ng taong ito, exclusive na ako sa Dos. Hindi na ako ipapahiram sa ibang station," banggit ni Tom sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang entertainment press na dumalo sa contract signing.

Sinabi rin ang actor-singer na may dalawang shows na naka-lineup sa kanya sa darating na taon—isang afternoon drama show at isang primetime series.

Binanggit ni Tom si Angelica Panganiban na isa sa posibleng makatrabaho niya.

"I've worked with her before. I'm excited to work with her, lalo pa at magkakaroon daw ng Here Comes the Bride Part 2."

Dagdag niya, "Nag-e-enjoy din kasi ako sa drama ngayon. Gusto ko pang ihasa at sanayin ang sarili ko sa drama."

Tom also hopes to work with John Lloyd Cruz in the future.

"Sana mapanood ko siya para makita ko kung paano siya magtrabaho para din marami akong matutunan."

Isa sa mga bagay na pinagtatrabahuhan ni Tom ay ang kanyang pagsasalita ng Tagalog magmula pa nang dumating siya mula sa U.S. para sa PBB Double Up.

"Sana naman kahit paano, nag-improve na since last year," nakangiti niyang sabi.

WORKING ON CHRISTMAS DAY. Dahil malayo ang kanyang pamilya, minabuti ni Tom na kumuha ng trabaho sa mismong araw ng Pasko, December 25.

"Ako lang yata ang artistang tumanggap ng trabaho on Christmas Day!" tawa niya.

"Ayoko naman malungkot ang Christmas ko.

"Buong pamilya ko nasa States, ako lang mag-isa dito.

Ejay Falcon did not deny previous reports that Queenie Padilla was caught sitting in his lap one time during their movie shoot in India. But he stressed that people are wrong to assume that there’s something going on between them just because of their closeness off cam. “Ah kasi isa lang yung upuan nun. Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Dito ka na.’ Sabi niya, ‘Hindi pagod ka, galing ka sa fight scene, ikaw na maupo diyan.’ Sabi ko, ’Talaga okay ka lang diyan?’ Hindi naman kandong. Lahat sa set ang tawag niya anak. Sasabihin nun, ‘Anak ikaw na kukunan.’ Ganun din siya sa batang camera man namin. Matapang lang siguro siya kung babastusin ang anak niya. E hindi naman binabastos. At any rate, Ejay claimed that people would know if his friendship with Queenie has developed into something deeper. “Basta kung dumating na kami sa point na yun makikita ni’yo naman. Toni Gonzaga got her third Anak TV Seal Award in the Most Admired Female TV Personalities category last Wednesday, December 8. “Napakasarap ng pakiramdam na maging bahagi ka ng Anak TV Awards and to be given recognition by the kids,” she said with pride. “It’s something I really treasure because after all naman ng ginagawa namin sa telebisyon ay para sa ikagaganda ng mga programa at para ma-inspire ‘yung mga kabataang nanonood sa aming lahat.”

When Push.com.ph asked the host of The Buzz to summarize her 2010, she replied, “It’s true what they say that after the storm, there comes a rainbow talaga. ABS-CBN reveals lineup of shows for Q1 of 2011; former Kapuso star Jewel Mische is the new leading lady of Gerald Anderson

Matagal-tagal na ring usap-usapan ang tungkol sa paglipat ni Jewel mula sa GMA-7 papunta sa ABS-CBN, bagamat wala pang opisyal na pahayag mula sa young actress at maging sa Star Magic, kung saan nabalitang pumirma siya ng kontrata.

FRANCHISE SHOWS. Kasama rin sa mga programang naka-lineup sa ABS-CBN next year ang apat na franchise reality-game shows.

Una na rito ang fourth season ng Pinoy Big Brother (PBB), ang reality show mula sa Endemol. Sa PBB nagmula ang ilan sa pinakamalalaking bituin ngayon ng ABS-CBN gaya nina Sam Milby, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, at Zanjoe Marudo.

Matagal nang nababalita ang Pinoy Big Loser, ang reality show para sa mga "heavyweights" kunsaan tutulungan ng programa ang mga contestant na magbawas ng timbang at magkaroon ng kumpiyansa sa kanilang sarili. Sa wakas ay matutuloy na itong ipalabas sa susunod na taon.

Ang Pinoy Big Loser ay ihu-host ng Megastar na si Sharon Cuneta.

Aabangan din ng marami ang competitive cooking game show na Junior Master Chef, kunsaan magiging tampok ang mga batang nangangarap na maging chef.

Ang Junior Master Chef ay ihu-host ng Teleserye Queen na si Judy Ann Santos. Ito ang unang regular show niya pagkatapos niyang magsilang sa anak nila ni Ryan Agoncillo na si Lucho.

Magkakaroon na rin ng Philippine version ang longest-running game show sa U.S., ang The Price Is Right, mula sa FremantleMedia. Nagsimula noong 1956, 54 years nang umeere sa U.S. ang show na ito. Ang mga naging host nito ay sina Bill Cullen, Bob Barker, at ang current host nito na si Drew Carrey.

Dito sa Pilipinas, ang maghahatid ng papremyo at saya sa ating mga kababayan ay si Kris Aquino.

OTHER SHOWS. Ibabalik naman ng ABS-CBN ang Star Circle Quest for the Next Kiddie Superstar, ang reality-based artista search tampok ang aspiring child superstars.

Ang maghu-host nito ay si KC Concepcion.

Sina Luis Manzano at Alodia Gosiengfiao naman ang hosts ng gag show na Laugh Out Loud.

Ngayong December ay si Kim Chiu ang featured star sa Sunday drama anthology na Your Song.

Ilu-launch naman into stardom si Jessy Mendiola sa pamamagitan ng early primetime serie na Sabel, kung saan makakapareha niya ang mga baguhan ding sina AJ Perez at Joseph Marco.

Ang Sabel ay magsisimulang mapanood sa Lunes, December 6.

Isa naman sa aabangang primetime drama series next year ay ang Pinoy verison ng hit Koreanovela na Green Rose. Tampok dito sina Jericho Rosales, Jake Cuenca, at Anne Curtis.

Ilan lamang ito sa exciting shows ng ABS-CBN next year na tiyak na aabangan ng avid Kapamilya viewers.

‘Pinoy Big Brother’ ex-housemate Cathy Remperas denies being kicked out by her boyfriend

A few months ago, a rumor claiming former Pinoy Big Brother Double Up housemate Cathy Remperas was kicked out by her live-in partner from their house began making the rounds. Nothing much was heard from Cathy about the issue, and her PBB friends seemed to have no idea about what really happened. But in a recent interview with Push.com.ph, Cathy denied that such an incident took place. “Matagal na po ‘yung issue na ‘yan. My ex-boyfriend was a part of my life and he is a good person. Ayoko nang magsalita tungkol sa isyung ‘yun kasi I think he’s moving on na with his life and ganun din ako. Basta it was not true.”

According to Cathy, she and her ex-boyfriend were not living together under the same roof. “‘Yung ex-boyfriend ko po hindi kami nag-live-in. We both lived in Manila and magkalapit lang ‘yung bahay namin pero hindi kami nag live-in.” She also admitted they would sometimes get into fights. “Ang away naman normal lang ‘yan sa bawat relationship. Hindi maiiwasan na minsan magka argument. But we manage to settle things. Okay na kami ngayon. Tahimik na ang buhay niya and tahimik na rin kami.”

Push.com.ph then asked if she is now ready for a new romance, particularly with her PBB ka-love team Johan Santos who once professed inside the PBB house that he liked her very much. But Cathy explained, “Hindi naman nanliligaw si Johan, ha ha ha! We’re very close. Isa siya sa mga taong pinakamalapit sa akin. Siguro mas naging strong lang ‘yung friendship ko with him and the other housemates, lalo na dun sa mga nakatrabaho ko like sina Melai (Cantiveros), Jason (Francisco), even sina Hermes (Bautista) and Paul Jake (Castillo). Magkakaibigan pa rin kami.”

Cathy currently has a bit role as a dwarf-fairy in the Piolo Pascual primetime teleserye Noah. She has also taped an episode for Mara Clara. “Nag-taping ako for Mara Clara pero once pa lang. Hindi ko pa yata pwedeng sabihin ‘yung magiging character ko dun. Abangan niyo na lang. It was fun to do kasi ‘yung character ko ibang-iba sa kung sino ako sa tunay na buhay.”

Cathy said she considers it a big privilege to be part of Mara Clara and to work with top-notch actors. “It was nice to work with Jhong (Hilario). Excited din akong makasama sina Ms. Mylene (Dizon), Ms. Gina (Pareño), Dimples (Romana), at siyempre sina Mara (Kathryn Bernardo) at Clara (Julia Montes). Magagaling lahat ng artista dun kaya it was a blessing na maging part nun.”

Hindi na napapanood sa music channel na MYX ng Studio 23 si Robi Domingo. Pero hindi naman daw siya tinanggal dito kundi "pinag-graduate" na siya bilang VJ.

"They are looking for a new flavor right now. Kumuha sila ng three great hosts na saludo ako. And proud ako sa kanilang lahat," sabi ni Robi nang makausap siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kahapon, December 1, sa studio ng ABS-CBN pagkatapos ng Shoutout.

Ang Shoutout ang bagong youth-oriented show ng ABS-CBN, kung saan isa sa mga host si Robi.

Pero aminado ang dating Pinoy Big Brother Teen housemate na nalungkot siya sa pagkawala niya sa MYX.

"Sa totoo lang, nalungkot ako nung first few weeks. Masakit kasi, e.

"It's like natanggal ka sa daily routine mo. Pupunta ako ng school, then after school, diretso na ako sa MYX.

"Ayun, parang may butas na sa schedule ko. At mahirap maghanap ng paraan para i-fill in yung gap na yun."

Ganunman, nagpapasalamat pa rin si Robi na naging bahagi siya ng MYX.

"At least MYX has given me a training ground to host, to learn new skills, to hone my skills as a host," sabi niya.

Pero na-depress ba siya sa pagkawala niya sa MYX?

"Sad, yes. Depressed, no," sagot ni Robi.

KIM CHIU. Nang matanong dati si Robi kung sino ang showbiz crush niya, ang sagot niya ay si Kim Chiu. Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin nawawala ang paghanga niya sa dalaga.

Magkakilala lang sina Robi at Kim, hindi sila close. Bakit hindi siya gumawa ng paraan para mapalapit kay Kim?

"Hindi ko pa siya ma-approach sa ngayon, e," nakangiti niyang sabi,

"I think we're both busy with our respective careers, lalo na siya.

"Sobrang proud ako kay Kim kasi nandun na siya. Kailangan na lang niya maintenance. And more endorsements."

"I can't really describe her. Pero para siyang diwata.

"At ang bait niya. Hindi siya showbiz in a sense na plastic."

NO GIRLFRIEND YET. Hanggang crush lang si Robi. Wala pa siyang plano na manligaw. At never pa pala siyang nagkaroon ng girlfriend.

"Marami akong crush, inevitable yun siguro naman sa mga kalalakihan," sabi niya.

"Pero I guess because of conflict schedule, hindi rin ako makakagawa ng move, e.

"Kasi, ayoko yung... Kung magmamahal man ako, gusto ko yung buong oras ko ibibigay ko sa kanya.

"Sa ngayon, busy talaga sa school at career. No time pa para sa love life."

Kung sakali bang manliligaw na siya, taga-showbiz din ba ang pipiliin niya?

Hindi ba siya nambababae? Faithful ba siya?

"Opo...talaga naman," mabilis niyang sabi.

BUGBUGAN ISSUE. Minsan ay naikuwento ni Melai na siya ay sinasaktan physically ng kanyang sariling ama noon. Ginawa na lang daw niya itong katatawanan na kapag daw galit siya sa ama, ang tawag niya rito ay "stepfather."

Pero inisip na lang daw ni Melai na dahil daw siguro sa pagmamahal at gusto siyang madisiplina kaya yun nagawa ng ama.

May lumalabas ngayong balita na si Jason naman daw ang "nambubugbog" kay Melai. Lalo na't noong nasa loob pa sila ng Bahay Ni Kuya ay mga insidente na tila nasasaktan ni Jason si Melai.

Kaya diretsahang tinanong ni Charlene si Jason: Gaano katotoo ang balitang binubugbog daw niya si Melai?

"Ay, sobrang napaka-hindi totoo niyan. Sobrang hindi!" mabilis na sagot ng Kokey star.

"Kasi, alam n'yo, malapit na po ang Pasko kaya dapat magmahalan. Bakit tayo magsasakitan?

"At saka, hindi ko yun kayang pagbuhatan ng kamay. At saka, siya nga minsan ang nangungurot sa akin.

"Pero hindi ko siya pinagbubuhatan ng kamay. Hindi ko po gagawin yun at saka, marami pong nanonood, masama po yun."

Gentleman ba siya?

"Opo, at saka nga po rumors, di ba? Ibig sabihin, tsismis. Hindi totoo," diin ni Jason.

MELAI DEFENDS JASON. Hindi man nakarating si Melai sa The Buzz, nakapanayam pa rin siya ni Charlene over the telephone.

Kinamusta muna siya ni Charlene at kung mataas ba ang lagnat niya.

"Okay na po. Kanina po mataas, pero ngayon po, bumaba na siya!" natatawang sabi ng komedyana.

Tinanong din si Melai tungkol sa isyung binubugbog diumano siya ni Jason.

"Bakit naman niya ako bubugbugin? Ako pa ang nagungurot sa kanya," sagot ni Melai.

"At saka, siguro kung binugbog niya ako, matagal ko na siyang binugbog din. Nagbugbugan na kaming dalawa!

"Yun po ang totoo."

WHO'S WHO. Pagkatapos ng bugbugan issue ay tinanong ni Charlene ang magkasintahan ng "light questions."

Sa siyam na buwan nilang relasyon, sino ang mas in love sa isa't isa?

"Ako... ako... siguro parehas naman kami," sagot ni Jason.

"Kaya nga kami magkasama, kasi pareho kaming in love sa isa't isa. Kung hindi na, e, di hindi na.

"Pero ngayon, magkasama pa rin, siyempre in love pa rin kami sa isa't isa."

Sino naman ang mas in love?

"Siyempre ako," sagot ni Melai.

"Babae naman talaga ang lahat-lahat over in love sa guy, di ba po?"

LEADER AND MEMBER. Sa mga away nila, sino ang mas madalas na nasusunod?

"Siya po!" mabilis na sagot ni Jason.

"Sa totoo lang, hindi naman po ako manalo sa kanya kaya imposible po na mabugbog ko siya.

"At saka kasi, simangutan ko lang siya, siya na ang nambabato ng tsinelas... Hindi naman niya ibabato, parang iaamba lang.

"Parang ganoon ang style niya. Kasi, malakas po talaga ang personality niya."

Sabi naman ni Melai, "Ako po ang palaging nasusunod, pero siya ang leader. Ako lang ang member."

Biro naman ni Jason, "Siya raw ang member, ako ang leader. Ano 'to, fraternity?"

Natatawang sagot ni Melai over the phone, "Kasi po, kapag nag-aaway kami, ako ang nasusunod... Pero, meron din siya.

"Madalas siya ang masusunod kapag may sasabihin siyang, 'O, matulog na tayo.' Dapat siya ang masunod dahil kung hindi, mag-aaway na naman kami."

Ayon kay Charlene, sa one year nila sa showbiz, may comment daw si Boy Abunda na mayaman na si Jason. Pero sino ang mas mayaman sa kanila ni Melai?

"Ay, hindi po totoo yun," tanggi ni Jason.

Dagdag niya, "Siguro mas mayaman 'yan [Melai], kasi may sasakyan.

"Okay lang... Pero ako, wala pa po. Nag-iipon pa lang."

Tinanong muli ni Charlene si Jason kung may sasakyan na talaga si Melai.

"Opo, hulugan!" sagot niya, na ikinatawa ng halos lahat sa studio.

Dugtong pa niya, "Pero malapit na po niyang mabayaran."

FIRST CHRISTMAS TOGETHER. Since first time nila magkakasama ngayong darating na Pasko, may plano na ba sila?

Sabi ni Jason, "Siyempre po, gustuhin man naming magsama sa Pasko, unahin muna namin yung pamilya.

"Kasi, kapag Pasko, uuwi kami sa probinsiya namin. Siya sa GenSan, ako sa Mindoro.

"Kasi, sobrang tagal na rin po na hindi ko nakikita pamilya ko at katulad din po niya.

"Siguro pagbalik na lang po, pasyal-pasyal.

"Pero sa Pasko, pamilya muna at maiintindihan naman po namin yun."

EXCHANGE GIFT. Tawanan naman muli ang mga tao sa studio, at maging si Charlene, nang magpalitan ng Christmas gift sina Jason at Melai.

Ayon kay Jason, bago sila maghiwalay sa Pasko saka niya ibibigay ang regalo niya kay Melai—isang SpongeBob wrap-around bath towel.

Paliwanag nito sa ibinigay na gift, "Mahilig po siya sa SpongeBob. Ito po yung tapis. Sa Binangonan, naglalaba siya ro'n. Kaya binili ko siya.

"Sa probinsiya, ganyan ang ginagamit sa paglalaba. Kaya binili ko na lang sa kanya para hindi na siya mahirapan."

Si Charlene naman ang nagbukas ng regalo ni Melai para kay Jason—dalawang Spider-Man tumblers.

Paliwanag naman ni Melai tungkol sa kanyang gift, "Kasi po, paborito niya ang Spider-Man. At saka, mahilig siyang uminom ng tubig kaya tumbler."

CHRISTMAS MESSAGE. Hiningan din ng message ni Charlene sina Jason at Melai para sa isa't isa in the spirit of Christmas.

Jason: "Siyempre, advance Merry Christmas at ang importante ngayon, magpagaling ka muna diyan. Kasi, bukas may taping tayo alas-sais ng umaga. Kaya kailangan, huwag ka munang magdaldal diyan. Uminom ka ng mga gamot na pampalakas para gumaling ka."

Melai: "Over naman ang mga gamot! Baka ma-overdose ako rito. Ang sasabihin ko lang, ikaw, mag-ingat ka diyan sa pag-commute mo dahil wala ka namang sasakyan. Ako, naghuhulugan ako ng sasakyan.

"Ingat ka, and then, huwag ka nang maglakad ngayon kasi bukas may taping tayo. Huwag ka nang maggala. Matulog ka nang maaga para bukas, may strength and courage ka."

Hirit naman ni Charlene kay Jason, wala bang "I love you?"

"Hindi naman... I miss you kasi araw-araw tayong nagkikita. Pero serious, I miss you pa rin kasi, wala siya rito... I love you," sambit ni Jason.
